If you're wondering, it's 1.07AM right now, I have two Psychology final exams in the morning and I still have 6 chapters to read. Why am I writing this then? I think I'm starting to get a bit of ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder-very common here in America). I used to be able to study for hours without getting distracted. Not now. I have the internet-checking Facebook, GMail, YouTube, Dramabeans, 9GAG, 4Chan and scores of blogs every once in a while. Which is why I'm writing a post now-because this blog is so empty after I decided to check it. Dude, the last post was in March. This blog is such a waste of internet space. This is an attempt by me-who don't even write much on my own blog-to revive Chocolate for Friends.

So, updates, yeah? I've been in the States for exactly 4 months today (what a coincidence!). Really exciting here. I feel like I grew up more than I have ever before during these past 4 months. I became more responsible (hey, I know how to cook and pay bills now!), I socialize more (or risk being a loner in a new country), I participate more (I'm in 7 clubs, one of which is unintended and get e-mails from several other clubs that I don't even go to. Haha. ), I study harder (tuition is expensive here, kay?).

Which reminds me, SUNY (State University of New York) just hiked up our tuition fees by adding $670 per semester to our $8000 price tag. It's about 10% increase and this will go on for the next 5 years. Why? Because the governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo (I shall not ever forget you), feels that the reason why the SUNY system is lacking is because they don't get enough funding to get the best possible faculty and services in the country. So guess what? 8-10% increase for the next five years for out of state students and 5% for in state students. Do you know how ridiculous that amount is? We're talking about 64 SUNY campuses in the state of New York and 465,000 students. What are they even going to do with that amount of money? They get donations every year (Stony Brook just accepted $150 million from a very generous Simons family and $33 million from the state of New York). According to my roommate, they built a fancy Math building with the money from the Simons Foundation. Thing is, we can't even use that building. It's for faculty members and graduate students. Some of the funds are allocated for graduate students because apparently the undergraduate students aren't important enough. They did mention opening a few more scholarship opportunities (which we're in dire need of-only about 32% of SBU students get scholarship aid each year). What about that pile of gold from the tuition increment? My roommate said that some old farts up in SUNY Albany made some really wrong decisions and they're trying to cover it up with that money. So Albany decided to drag the rest of the system down? What is this? We're not back in the 70's where the federal government had to buy NYC out of debt, are we? That's the thing-Americans are so autonomous and individualistic. They don't look at the bigger picture-the collectivistic culture.

Stony Brook (where I am) is also one of four of the SUNY research centers, which means we get the higher end of the percentage increase than other SUNYs. Of course they had to increase the tuition the very semester I transfer here. And of course they decided it's best to let me know AFTER I accepted the offer and paid all the necessary deposits. It's not like we can do anything about this. If I'm not happy, I can leave. They don't need me here. Oh, students have tried protesting. Doesn't work. This echoes exactly what Occupy Wall Street is trying to tell people; we are the powerless majority going against the powerful 1%. It doesn't make any sense; wouldn't majority always win? Not here it doesn't. Oh, the upper class screw people over everyday like how they have breakfast every morning. This is why we have Marxism, people. It's not like politicians like Obama don't want to do anything. They just can't. To campaign and win elections, they need money. And where is all the money at? The capitalists.

It's not like I can just leave Stony Brook like this and transfer to other cheaper universities (Southern Illinois or North Dakota?). I would've wasted that one semester and I would have to start all over again. I was really blessed to have people like to help me settle down here. And I found a really cheap place to stay. I just need to start looking for financial aid options like applying for a Resident Assistant position (where I can save up a whole year of lodging and food). There are also Chancellor Awards where they look for academically excellent students who also happen to be geniuses in leadership, community service and just about every other areas on campus. It's just not that easy to be brilliant these days, is it? I can't be the smart Asian girl who never talks in class. I have to do some part-time work, volunteer, research and assist in teaching. A 4.0 CGPA is not enough. And I'm still struggling with that.

Airline: Firefly

Price: RM29 / way. Therefore it would be RM58 for air tickets. This price excludes meal on board and check-in luggage. But we don't need those!

Lodge: I found this lodge with a price of RM25 per night for one room. We assume two person can stay in one room, that way we can save moolah. Unless you guys are looking at staying at some hotel then that could be expensive.

Car: Rent for a kancil is RM80 per day including fuel. But if we're only going around town I think we can walk. We can reserve one day to explore out of town for example, beach, then we only need the car for one day or half.

Where to go: No worries, we know where to go XD

Food: Rest assure the food are all nice and yummy food!

I need confirmation BEFORE 23rd OF MARCH as the offer for cheap flight ticket will end by then. RSVP as soon as possible, members!

I've been really looking forward to this Friday for yumcha session.

But those who didn't turn up really disappointed me.

My Mom had plans to go back to Kuala Kangsar tonight.

College friends asked me out for movie and seafood dinner.

I declined because I really wanted to see you guys.

In the end I'm just disappointed.

Maybe I'm over-sensitive, but I have always thought that not many of us are into this thing anymore.

Obon (お盆^?) or just Bon (盆^?) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of one's ancestors. This Buddhist custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.

The festival of Obon lasts for three days; however its starting date varies within different regions of Japan. When the lunar calendar was changed to the Gregorian calendar at the beginning of the Meiji era, the localities in Japan reacted differently and this resulted in three different times of Obon. "Shichigatsu Bon" (Bon in July) is based on the solar calendar and is celebrated around 15 July in areas such as Tokyo,Yokohama and the Tohoku region. "Hachigatsu Bon" (Bon in August) is based on the solar calendar, is celebrated around the 15th of August and is the most commonly celebrated time. "Kyu Bon" (Old Bon) is celebrated on the 15th day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, and so differs each year. "Kyu Bon" is celebrated in areas like the northern part of the Kantō region, Chūgoku, Shikoku, and the Southwestern islands. These three days are not listed as public holidays but it is customary that people are given leave.^[1]

I know I don't say it much, but I really love you guys! I always complained about the school and college I went and am going to. Friends like you guys makes it all better. I will really miss all of you when I study in the US. I know we will drift apart with the distance but I want to remember what we all went through together and hopefully we can talk and enjoy the little moments together. Hii you guys...it's been so long since anyone other than Faisal wrote here. So, I'll give it a go. Yeahh..while I download my Korean drama. Teehee..

Hmm...most of us are back to college, with rare exceptions like Kexin's. If you don't already know, Sinyi, Kyeng and I are studying at HELP University College (We HELP U~), Ding is in Sunway University College, Kexin is in Brickfields Asia College, Sheng and Naren is in Uniten, ChunLam in KTAR, Faisal and Alep is with MARA and Gai, Wan is in UiTM.

Oh..and by the way, Super Junior is coming to Malaysia!! (free advertising) I really don't wanna give more money to SM, but I really want to see them! First concert here! I already regretted how I was at the MTV Asia Awards but I totally ignored their performance.

Hah! I just came back from playing with my dog. Had a really long talk with her about how we shouldn't bark at night and she should go roam the lawn and lie down to get some sleep. She's as furry as ever, and cute...though maybe not to outsiders. Recently, she has some problems with her ears...probably ear mite. Gonna bring her to the vet this weekend..hope it's alright.

Well..I'll write till here then. My drama's almost finished downloading and I have an 8am class tomorrow. I'll write again soon...

There, he met Yuuko, the witch who grants wishes and he wished that the spirits would stop chasing after him. In return, he has to pay Yuuko the price of working part-time at the shop. The work includes cooking, cleaning and sometimes, matters that deal with spirits. Soon, his schoolmate Doumeki joins him in such tasks, as Doumeki has the natural ability to dispel spirits, much to his annoyance as he thinks the girl that he likes, Himawari likes Doumeki better than him.

I think most of you already know that this anime is very related to Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles. (I haven't forgotten the fact that I haven't do a review on Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles).

Reason why I wanted to watch this anime is because Yuuko really did attract my attention. Plus, my favourite and most recent added seiyuu Jun Fukuyama is voicing the main character, Watanuki. So it's a must watch. There's nothing much to expose about this anime, as it revolves around different storyline every one or two episodes.

Regarding the movie however, there's a clear relation to Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles' movie; The Princess of the Country of Birdcages. Before watching the movie, watch Tsubasa's movie first.

I read some spoiler on Wikipedia, and I suspect CLAMP has this ever twisting and the most confusing plot planned ever since the release of Cardcaptor Sakura.

Ahh, I haven't watch such an entertaining anime in a long time. The concept is very nice, about how nothing is coincidence and how you have to pay a price for something to be done; equity. The anime has a very creepy and mysterious atmosphere, which is to me, very nice.

Rate: 8/10.

3 of Kpop’s biggest boybands will be missing 1 member for their performances on upcoming large-scale concert ‘2009 Dream Concert’ to be held on 10th October.

For this concert, the performing teams are Big Bang, Super Junior, 2PM, SHINee, Jewelry, KARA, So Nyeo Shi Dae, T-ara, 2NE1, 4Minute, Wheesung, Park HyoShin, MC Mong, ChaeYeon etc.

And of them, groups Big Bang, Super Junior and 2PM will be missing 1 member each at the concert performance.

Big Bang member DaeSung will not be participating at the concert. He got into a car accident in August, and even though he has successfully undergone an operation recently for his injuries incurred during the accident, he is still recuperating from his injuries.

He has joined the team on Family Outing for filming on 21st September for 2 days and 1 night, but for now, he will not be doing broadcast activities. Hence he will not be joining the other 4 Big Bang members for Dream Concert.

Then there was group 2PM. After leader JaeBum left the group and returned to Seattle following his MySpace messages saga, the group will be promoting as 6 members.

This will be the first time the rest of the 6 members perform together on stage after the saga. They have not been on any broadcast or schedule for the past month due to this. But the production company has decided not to air their performance.

Lastly, group Super Junior will also be missing KangIn for Dream Concert this year. This follows theassault case involving KangIn in September. It was decided that he will not be performing with the rest of the Super Junior members for this concert.

Meanwhile, the MCs for Dream Concert this year will be Kim HeeChul (Faisal: YIPYYYYYY!!!!!!) and Song JiHyo.

If you're not a person who loves scientific fiction, don't watch. It may be boring for you.

Darker Than Black. I personally think that the Black in the title refers to our main protagonist (and yummy) Hei, which means black in chinese. The story begins ten years after a mysterious wall appears in Tokyo, Japan and was named Hell's Gate. After the appearance of the Gate, an amount of people started having supernormal powers, for Hei's it's generating electricity. They are called Contractors. As their name indicates, they have to pay for the price. It may include things like kissing to aging. Organisations starting to appear and manipulate these Contractors for political reasons.

It's very difficult for me to draw out a plot without spoiling the beautiful suspense. I'll just stop here. Hee ^_^

At the beginning, I was in the same line of thought as Aki-chan, thinking that the anime is boring.

But it actually isn't if you continue to watch through it. Somehow I know that the anime would not disappoint me. And I'm very glad it didn't. Or else my money would have flown away just like that.

Yes, I started buying instead of downloading because I cannot wait.

Aah, I'm really slow with Anime nowadays.

Not the slow as in watching them; I finished this in two days at nights; it's a 12 episode anime.

And it's called Princess Princess.

Slow as in catching up.

The reason is SUPER JUNIOR =D

No, I'm not in Korean stuff. I only like THEM.

Warning: May be spoiler ahead.

The storyline is quite fine; having characters with rather suficient background story for a 12 episode anime.

But that's not really the point. IT'S REALLY FUNNY!

I won't say it's funny to the Ouran extent, but there's this stupidity in the concept of the anime that makes the whole show worth watching.

The school is an all-boys school, and as such, they think that they need something to refresh the vibes of the students. What can refresh a man but GIRLS?? So, they made really beautiful first year boys to become these Princesses, having free luncheons, extra pocket money and compulsory excuse from classes. Their job, as mentioned, is to refresh the mojos of the dull men. How? They went around the school showing off smiles, putting off fights and cheering on games. The ridiculous part is, they worship the princesses and won the nationals BECAUSE of the princesses. AND, it's an ELITE school. How crap is that?

But again, I'm also a crappy person. Which really explains why I like it.

Hee =)

I'm giving this a 7/10.

I really wished it'll be a bit longer.

Cities of the World

Eventhough today is Merdeka day, I really had nothing to do. So, I played around with Google Maps. Kexin called my little activity as stalking, particularly spying into her house. I was stalking, but not into ulu places like Mahkota Cheras. I looked into the satellite image of the very mysterious Istana Negara but got nothing. All they captured was an empty plot of land. The photos available were only photos taken from the outside of the Istana. At least let us know where our tax money went to! Leechers! Ohh...which reminds me, if anyone knows the address of Super Junior's dormitory, let me know. I tried searching for it but came out with nothing. The fans in South Korea knows their address. I've seen videos of them stalking outside their dorm. It's creepy but they're just fulfilling their duties as stalkers.

First off, Tokyo Metropolis. Look at the roads! Crazy! How can poeple even drive on those roads and manage to not get lost! Even using the GPS would be hard. No wonder their suicide rate is one of the highest in the world. Tokyo is the most populated city in the world, with a whooping 32,450,000 people living in the city. Yes, more people that the whole of Malaysia.

Then, there's Shanghai. Beijing might be the capital, but it's not the largest city in China. You should see the traffic in Shanghai! Cars would come inches close to your car and drivers don't care. But if your car so touches their car, prepare for the battle of your life. Not to mention, the thousands of bicycles on the road. You can't run over them but you can't overtake them either. They're just that many.

Ahh...Infinitely Yours, Seoul. I should get paid from the Tourism Ministry of South Korea for doing this. Yes, the city that produced good artists like Super Junior (^^), DBSK, SS501, BoA, Rain, to name a few. I had a hard time trying to find some greenery in the city though. Maybe there are some, roadside trees or parks. Other than that, it's just dirt patches within a vast area of grey buildings.

And of course, New York, New York. Largest city in the world. Times Square, Central Park, Broadway...all that. New York City actually reminds me of Tamadun India's Harrapa because of it's systematic roads. Because US has flat lands, their roads are straight and organized. Although, there really is no need to drive when they can take the subway that goes everywhere with trains that come on time...

...unlike a city I know of.

CatHeechul suddenly wanted to bring DragonHankyung & FishDonghae for an adventure.
So Fishy said, “Where are we going! Where are we going!”
DragonHankyung wasn’t happy at all, “I’m too tired! Go yourself! Silly!”
Then, PiggyDongdong suddenly appeared, snatching a poisoned apple to eat.
“Oh! Hyung! This is too great!” Saying this Dongdong opened a bottle of drink.
Little anchovy stuck onto him crawling, it’s AnchovyEunhyuk kekeke

Oh yeah! It’s back again...yay yay...

Zooriffic is coming to town again....

Who missed the smell of Zoo Negara? Who missed Mr.Parrot?

Don’t worry, this time Raleigh International Kuala Lumpur once again organized the splendid event of the year, Zooriffic 5!

Zooriffic 5 is an annual event where we will doing some charity work for animals in same time having fun with them also. Below here is the details for the event and I put the tentative also.

Date: 1st August 2009 ( SATURDAY)

Time : 8.00 AM-4.30 PM BE PUNCTUAL OK?

Venue and Meeting Place : Zoo Negara’s Main Gate

Fee : RM 25.00 only consists of limited edition T-Shirt with Raleigh’s
Logo, lunch meal and some goodies (depends). This fee is not
enough for animals woo, so still considered reasonable.. 

Craving for McFlurry today. Went to Midvalley's McD to get some. Still in shock of the price increase and the amount decrease. It's practically double the price but half the amount of the previous McFlurry. Come on! It's just ice cream (one that copied a certain Dairy Queen's similar ice-cream that starts with a B and ends with a D). Conclusion: from now onwards, I, See Tho Wai Siong, will not eat anything from McDonald's anymore. This will be my first step towards boycotting all fast food products. They're happily shoving fat into our arteries. The irony here is that, we're paying them to do that. I'm telling you, they're evil! Happy Meal...gah! It should be Evil Meal! 80% evil and 20% lies!

Who knows? I might learn the secret to their fat-filled products and open a McSiong's next to every single McDonald's in the world. Starting with one in Midvalley!

On 25 June 2009, world has been shocked by the death of #1 Greatest Pop Singer in the World, Micheal Joseph Jackson or formerly known as Micheal Jackson or Jacko because of cardiac failure. I'm also surprised in this morning when my dad open up BBC channel in Astro. Wow! So unexpected. Last few weeks, if i'm not mistaken, he want to make a concert. I saw his concert poster in Internet and till now i wrote this post, I feel sad for him and his wish to make a concert tak kesampaian. Datz y im sad. I'm not his biggest fan la, but what I can say, his song really damn good, his dance can beat up Sorry Sorry, Shuffle Dance or Samba Dance. haha. I like onw of his song that is Smooth Criminal and Magic. Now, Ciara remixed that song. Well, MJ, rest in peace. Your songs will be last forever in your fan's heart. Below here, I put one of his MV as tatapan kita semua, maybe some of you don't like him, haha, but, at least support his songs la. so geng...haha. in this MV, i like his moon walking...oh yeah.haha

Super mecha anime!

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Drills. The story is about drills. The name of the anime is obtained through the final combination of the mecha, originally with Lagann, then Gurren Lagann, then Dai Gurren Lagann and so on. The mecha undergoes many combinations, due to the special characteristic of the mecha Lagann.
It starts off with a setting on Earth, where humans live underground. They drill holes everday. Our main protagonist, Simon is one of them. Kamina who stays in same village, rebels to free himself and dreams of staying on the ground, as his father did. Kamina likes Simon and insisted on becoming each other's brother. One day, Simon digs to a point where he found Lagann. And a sudden attack from a Ganmen, a mecha, into the village changed their lives. They met Yoko and her team, who's vision is to protect their village from Ganmens and fight them off. Eventually Kamina and Simon joined the team. At one of the fights, Kamina took a bold move and takes the Ganmen for his own and named it Gurren to fight other Ganmens. Gurren Lagann was born when Kamina insisted on combining both the mechas, which initially they thought was impossible. Seeing that Lagann is a special mecha, it is able to do so with all mechas.

They fought the four kings of Tepeilin, the capital of the Ganmen and the king, Lordgenome. Kamina died when they were trying to take one of the king's warship. They defeated the king and take it as their capital.

Simon

Viral

Seven years later, Kamina City became very advanced. The characters are evidently older. They rescued many people underground. However, the Anti-Spiral, enemies of the Spiral energy that drives Lagann, detects the alarmingly fast evolution of the power, came, threaten and attack Earth. Rossiu imprisons Simon as the person to take all the responsibility. The Anti-Spirals tried bringing the Moon down, but Simon saved it. Yoko who went away returns and frees Simon and Viral to ammend Rossiu's mistake. Viral, who previously was the underling of Lordgenome, joined forces with Simon. Later, together, they went to the universe of the Anti-Spiral and destroys them to save Nia, Simon's fiancee. They fought desperately and determinely. And of course, they won. Unfortunately, since Nia is a fake life made by the Anti-Spiral, she disappears right after she marries Simon. Simon then left the city in the hands of Rossiu.

Rate: 7/10
The story develops really well and so does the characters.
Every characters have their own story.
Favourite characters are Simon and Viral!
Seiyuu Nobuyuki Hiyama who voices Viral also voices Li Kouyuu and Hiei!
Mecha!! Super. One of the special ones since Evangelion.

Sebastian Michaelis, a demon butler serves the Phantomhive family's current head, the twelve year old Ciel Phantomhive. Ciel has a dark past; his mansion was burnt and his parents were murdered. He was captured and became a slave. Then, he met the demon. They made a pact, that when Ciel exacted his revenge, Sebastian would devour his soul. Before that, Sebastian is obliged to aid Ciel in achieving his goal. The storyline at the beginning of the anime is quite similar to the manga, but after that, swayed completely. The ending is bleak, but perfect!!!

The ending is perfect! Though I prefer the manga storyline, it has been really long since I last encounter such a nice ending! Even though it's bleak like hell. LOL.

The soundtrack is good too, something different from what I've heard.

Jenazah beliau diterbangkan ke Malaysia untuk dikebumikan di sini.Kepada Luqman,kumpulan Chocoholics dengan rasa simpati ingin mengucapkan takziah kat kau dan keluarga kau jugak. A compilation of classic Japanese horror stories. This 11-episodes anime tells three different stories; Yotsuya Kaidan, Tenshu Monogatari and Bakeneko.

Yotsuya Kaidan (Ep. 1-4)
This story tells of a young, beautiful daughter of a samurai, Oiwa. She married a vagabond samurai, Iemon, who killed her father without her knowledge so that he can be with her and gave birth to a baby. However, ever since the birth of the baby, he soon lost interest in her and at the same time, was pursued by a daughter of a rich family. Driven by the poor condition of his family and Oiwa's unstable emotions after giving birth, he conspired with the rich family and disfigures Oiwa by tricking her into drinking medicine. She was horribly disfigured and later dies. She held a terrible curse upon Iemon and seeks revenge by appearing in visions. Iemon who saw Oiwa in everything and everyone that he looks at, starts going berserk. Eventually, he was killed for what he'd done. Though so, it's not really pointed in the story if she'd rested in peace.

Tenshu Monogatari (Ep. 5-8)
Compared to the other two, this story is a bit off. This is like the Seven Princesses from Heaven we'd read about; Tujuh Puteri Turun Ke Dunia, except that there is only one here. A forbidden love formed when our lead character Zushonosuke (voiced by Midorikawa Hikaru 緑川光), a mortal samurai and Tomihime (voiced by Kuwashima Houko 桑島法子), an immortal fell in love with each other. They first met when Zushonosuke were searching for his master's missing hawk. Despite warnings from Tomihime's side, they continued to be together, until misfortune on Tomihime's maid befallen. They were seperated. Even though Zushonosuke was married later on, he still loved Tomihime and rushed to rescue her when he heard that the town's people were going to attack the White Heron Castle that the immortals haunted. In the end, both Zushonosuke and Tomihime became hawks, just like Tomihime's mother.

Bakeneko (Ep. 9-11)
A travelling medicine seller (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai 櫻井孝宏) came across a rich samurai's house and offers to sell medicine to the maid. The maid told him of the event that is going on in the house; the daughter is going to be married to pay the debts off. As he was about to leave and at the same time the daughter too, the daughter was attacked unknowingly and died. The medicine man was revealed to be a demon slayer. He traps the entire household in a long room with many compartments, seperated by slide doors. He explained that a demon, which he assumed to be a cat; bakeneko was the culprit of the daughter's death and thus took various other precautions against it. In order to slay the demon, he have to know three things; a demon's true form can only be known when the truth and reason is revealed. After much reluctance and some other deaths, the old head of the family tells of the truth. However, this does not seem to force the demon into a form, thus indicating he was lying. The demon overpowers the medicine man and shows him visions of the real truth. In the past, the old samurai had kidnapped a young maiden when she was on her way to marriage. He tortured, raped and trapped her in cage in an underground room, somewhat like a dungeon. Her grudge was left to the cat which accompanies her in the dungeon, thus turning the cat into a bakeneko. With this, the medicine man was finally able to kill the demon.

Among this three, I like Bakeneko the best. At first, I don't really catch what is going on. The part where the medicine man transforms was absolutely amazing. Even the graphics too! It's like Gankutsuou. The anime series Mononoke was a spin-off series from Bakeneko. And yes, the name of the medicine man was never told.
A 7/10 for this anime series. It's satisfying =)

The story progresses quite well, sometimes fast, sometimes draggy. Overall, it's about how alchemy forms weapons of all sorts from some hexagon (or octagon?) like thing which are called Kakugane. The main protagonist, Kazuki, received the Kakugane to continue living after dying to save Tokiko, an alchemy warrior and our main female character. The two later embark on a quest of alchemy warriors, to kill all Homonculus; beings created by the Kakugane. Between, a lot of things happened of course. In the midst of these battles, it's actually quite boring, until it reaches the part where Kazuki turns into Victor. This is resulted by the Kakugane inside his body that turns into a Black Kakugane. Typical ending, you can guesss it. LOL.

Rate: 5/10

We receive more than 700 unwanted, homeless or abused animals every month. We provide an adoption program, investigation of cruelty reports, humane education, assistance to community animal caregivers and run a dedicated, low-cost spay/ neuter clinic. We also lobby the Government and local municipals for humane treatment of animals and harsher penalities for perpetrators of crimes against animals. Founded in 1958, SPCA is a well-respected and trusted Non-Profit Organisation. Over the years, the organisation has gained tremendous goodwill, recognition and support from animal lovers all over Malaysia. So, who loves cats and dogs at here? You can have a visit at there. This center is located at Ampang Jaya, near to Ampang Putri Hospital. By the way, as you all can see the poster above, that is for a petition. Microscope...

see these pictures?guess where did i get it?...yes!...from a microscope...

the first two pictures are a frog's red blood cell...and the last two pictures are human blood cells(red blood cells and white blood cells(the purple dots))...done this dry work(in exam they call microscopic work as 'dry work' and other chemical experiments as 'wet work' for biology) yesterday for biology practical...heard someone snapped the pictures of the microscope(showed teacher the 'heart-shaped nucleus' of the white blood cell...zzzz...)...at first it was like impossible...but after some adjustment on my phone and the microscope i somehow manage to snapped these pictures...hehe...for those who once took biology,does this brings back memories?...still remember last year we used our own blood to examine under the microscope...

by the way...jpa results will be coming out on 8 May 2009 5p.m.(they change the time!when i first saw it it was 3!)...good luck everyone!

This is the uproaring novel by Dan Brown, which everyone seems to be reading now, or later after the movie comes out.

The story starts with the ancient brotherhood called the Illuminati, some anti-Catholic group in the history. A physicist was killed and was branded with the ambigram Illuminati, striking fear in our main protagonist, Langdon. One of the laboratory's very dangerous 'weapon' called the antimatter was stolen. At the same time, a CCTV in Vatican City went missing, or rather, not where it should be. But it clearly shows some number counting down. The Vatican contacted the lab and Langdon along with the dead physicist's daughter, Vetra flew down to Vatican City to retrieve the weapon.
Vetra explained the power of the antimatter and that they have to find it. Sadly, the camera was unable to be located. And a phone call from someone who declares himself as the 'messenger of the Illuminati' claims that he is going to kill all the four missing cardinals at every hour, the favourite cardinals who are most likely to replace the dead Pope. Working seperately, Langdon and Vetra traces the places most likely where all the cardinals might be killed while the Vatican's Swiss Guards searches the whole city for the antimatter.
Langdon and Vetra was always too late, the cardinals are all dead. Though at the third and fourth cardinal's death, they managed to come face to face with the assasin. But still, they lost. On the bodies of the cardinals, there are ambigrams of the words earth, air, fire and water.
Throughout the story, there's this chamberlain of the late Pope called camerlengo Carlo Ventresca, who seems wise and everyone respects him. He interrupted conclave and made a public speech which made people regarded him as very holy.
At this point, I knew something was wrong. I knew the story wouldn't be so perfect. And I was right.
In the end, the camerlengo hurts himself and frames someone for it. He then pretends to hear the voice of God telling him where is the antimatter. Of course, later, the antimatter didn't blow up Vatican City. This truth was only revealed to the cardinals. He was the one, the one who hired the assasin, the one whole hid the antimatter, the one who poisoned the Pope. There was no Illuminatus at all. His purpose was to restore people's faith in God, to sway people from science discoveries; he regarded science and Vetra's discovery of antimatter, the opposite of matter, satanic. He heard the voice of God (which I think it's Satan's, rather. Or it's just his hallucination) to tell him to restore faith in people, and he does this according to God's will. The plot was good, but the ending spoils everything! I would rather there be the real Illuminati taking revenge and starts bombarding the world rather than some crap ending like this. When I start reading the book, I really couldn't stop reading; too much thriller to. Anyway, I will still want to watch the movie, coming out on 14 May because Ewan McGregor is in =P

How to know whether or not you are ready for kids

MESS TEST
Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.

TOY TEST
Obtain a 55 gallon box of Legos (or you may substitute roofing tacks). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen.
Do not scream because this would wake a child at night.

GROCERY STORE TEST
Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.

DRESSING TEST
Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all the arms stay inside.

FEEDING TEST
Obtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water.

Take a family size package of chocolate chip cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car. There, perfect.

PHYSICAL TEST (Women)

MUSIC TEST
On your expensive CD player and awesome speakers, play Britney Spears and Steps over and over again, very loud. Dance to it while looking happy. Take a good long look at your CD collection. You won't be hearing them for a long, long time.

In the car, play Postman Pat and Silly Songs Collection (for 3 - 6 year olds, Early Learning Centre) tapes for four hours while driving down the M5. Whatever you do don't play what YOU want. Sing along to the music in a traffic jam.

When relaxing and playing your own CDs (rare), suddenly put on a cheapo cassette player in the room playing Aqua's Barbie Girl. Turn off your CD and walk out of the room. Move on to Mess Test II.

MESS TEST II
After spending two hours cleaning the house, put rags and old shoes in the hallway by the front door. Leave pieces of cloth on the stairs in a pleasing random fashion. Pick them all up and put them in a wooden box. Do the same thing everyday for ten years.

Recently I've just done reading a classic entitled Lolita, a masterpiece by Vladimir Nabokov.

It is a retold story, written in the first person point of view by our main character in the story, Humbert Humbert. The plot revolves around Humbert's life, a brief but detailed enough one about when he is younger, how he pursued literature and became a master of language (in some ways). He has a girl whom he loved very much back when he was still a little boy but was unable to own her as she died at a very young age. Ever since, Humbert developed an obsession with young girls, usually aged 6-12 and naming them 'nymphets'. Later in the story, he married a woman just to get close to her daughter, Dolores; nicknamed Lolita, Lola, Lo.

This book is utterly disturbing to those who have weak heart and is unable to stand colourful description of madness. Humbert describes Lolita in the most disgusting way ever imagined. If you harbour great hatred towards pedophile, do not read this book.
No, I mean it.

I myself is very amazed at the language used. The words and literature is simply amazing and awestrucking. I loved the way the words are put into use and gives sarcastic yet clear message. It's a funny book, at some part, exaggerating and the imaginations that Humbert has.
In other words, I like this book. Heck, sometimes I even like Humbert himself!

Hello all my friends. Ahh, it's been a long time, actually a week only I'm gone, but missed so much at here, at Kuala Lumpur. Well, the most thing I missed out is my computers, Toshiba and Clone..haha. Today, I checked "them" out, and seem nothing goes wrong on them. Just need some defragmentation, cleanup and optimization. WOW TELL YOU THE TRUTH..... thaipusam can lost to the members on the floor there! they were all pushing and buying all sort of things.. polo handbag's site at the main door of the jusco entrance pulled the biggest crowd! they were offering discounts up to 80%!
all were big great cheaters! they were telling happy hours for 1 hour only..so every one grabbed all stuff they could grab in that one hour.. & its done..

Blade The Immortal.
This is a story about a man, Manji who is immortal because he killed a hundred man (this reminds me of Hakkai in Gensomaden Saiyuki where he killed a hundred demon and became one himself); you can't kill him by simply stabbing him, it won't work. This is because he is cursed, or rather, gifted by an oba-san who is also immortal, some worms that live inside the body of Manji that keeps him alive by healing the wounds he received. It is said that he have to kill one thousand evil men to undo the curse. There are five arcs to this manga, and the final one is not done.
In the anime, they only show a summary of the anime with no ending, on how a girl named Rin wanted to have her revenge on Anotsu who killed her whole family. Typical storyline. She was then persuaded by the same oba-san to look for Manji to help her to gain her revenge.

I'll be frank: It's rather disappointing to me.
A rating of 3/10.
It actually made me sleep.
AND, there is no favourite seiyuu or favourable characters whatsoever.

Konyanyachiwa!! Here are a couple of pix I took when Joolz and I went to pierce our ears. At first it was freaking me out even before she started shooting the bullet into our ears *imagining shotgun in L4D* marking the bulls-eye

spray to make the flesh go numb...this is where the adrenaline kicks in!

throughout the whole thing...Sal was freaking out for us when he didn't even feel the pain!!

Anyway..it didn't hurt that much. Just the first few seconds you will go "Oh!! @!#$%*&...(breathe)....!@#$%^&*!!!" After that, it just feels warm in the wound unless you touch it, then you're gonna go on cursing again. We were supposed to not have any seafood or egg stuff for the first few days. Guess what, I immediately forgot and the first thing I ate after the piercing was Prawn Mee. Didn't have much effect on me thou...but I had peanut butter yesterday and now my right ear hurts so much when I touch it.
There you go, price of being a rebel...pain.
